CLOMP = OXYGENATION MEASUREMENT
®CLOMP
If you regularly read Codezero, you know that we have been talking for years about the development of body data. Data sensors and the technology to process the data exist, and for public development, it’s only a matter of cost and time. Supersapiens has brought glucose data tracking, and the CLOMP (currently in the funding phase on IndieGogowith a very substantial patch…) measures the oxygen levels in your muscles. This solution uses medical-grade SmO2 sensors. It calculates your lactate threshold, the point where fatigue sets in, by monitoring the oxygen levels in your muscles during exercise. It tracks the amount of oxygen consumed by your muscles, pace, duration, and distance, allowing you to better understand your body’s performance.
The associated app offers personalized training plans based on your data, and it will be downloadable on smartphones and smartwatches. Some may see this as just another tech gadget, but we are convinced that data analysis will enable everyone in the future to better understand their body, and that’s where progress lies.
